I
have been teaching for 13 years. When I
first start teaching I taught at a school in Shelby County for 2 years called
Clear Creek Elementary. I decided to
transfer to Oldham County because I live out here and I was raised in this
school system. In fact, I graduated from
South Oldham High School in 1999. After graduating high school, I attended college at the University of Kentucky, and then I earned my Master's Degree in Teaching from the University of Louisville. (I can cheer for both teams, but if they play each other, I will cheer for UK!) Most recently, I achieved my National Board Teacher Certification in 2012. This
year will be my 14th year of teaching. I taught at Harmony Elementary in Goshen for 9 years, and I transferred to Kenwood Station two years ago. My kids and I are very excited to be Kenwood Tigers because it is such an awesome school! I particularly enjoy teaching 5th grade
because the students are at such a fun age and we do a lot of interesting learning
activities with our curriculum!
On a more personal level, I am married to a wonderful man
and we have 3 beautiful boys! We also have 2 dogs and 2 cats! In my spare time, I love playing outside
with our kids, spending time with friends and family, reading, boating, exercising, and
playing soccer.
Feel free to contact me anytime you have concerns or questions regarding your child or the classroom.
