Blog Homework for 3/8/12
You should recall the article we recently read in class about Syria and the problems with their leader who refused to step down. Please read the following article,

My opinion is that he should step down because so many people are protesting, that he should step down. However, he also should step down becuase many Syrians want al-Assad to step down as leader. They want to be able to elect a new leader. Also,he says that unless Russia and China stop supporting al-Assad’s government, the fighting in Syria will not stop, but I don't think that it should stop. This is why I belive he should step down.
ReplyDeleteI think that their leader in Syria totally should step down. Since Russia and China are sporrting what the leader is doing to his people. Also he keeps on killing people that do not like him. There for he is not letting anyone leve the country. Well we tottaly do not agree to what he is doing to people. Our goverment nedds to be like there new goverment. ( if he steps down)I can not belive that many people liked the new constution!!! So lastly I have come to that he must step down to help his country thruogh this!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think that the leader of Syria should step down for a lot of reasons. First, he kills about everyone! Second, he's been in the government for over 40 years. Also, if he gets more votes, he gets to be in the government for 16 more years. Third, his supports are China, Russia, and Iran. They liking him is a bad thing because those countries are knows as not being nice to their citizens. He is terrible! He should definitly step down. Claire
ReplyDeleteI think that he totally needs to step down. He is doing very bad things with this wonderful country, flu of wonderful and great people! These people of Syria, their whole life is getting ruined because of one guy, who has made some really bad choices. I think he needs to step down, even though the people voted that they liked the constitution, of couch they would much rather him just be forced to step down. I think that he also needs to step down because he is making peoples life SO SO SO SO BAD! Even if he does step down in 16 years some people will have probably died by then, and thats just more lives he ruins with his dumb little non-democracy acts. I believe that he totally needs to step down SOON! I also think this because he has made some VERY bad choices for him and for Syria, after he has done all thins, and his family has ruled this country for over 40 years, he needs to step down! When he steps down, the need to find a better government, with branches like ours, and they need to make a democracy. These are my thoughts on why I think that this guy needs to step down, NOW!

I think the leader should step down. One beacuse he has kills alot of people. Also beacuse he knows that people do not like him, if your not liked why would you keep going. If he wins the vote 16 more years of him as the leader, that means 56 yearsof him as the leader. It is very importent that he stpes downe, or more people would die.

ReplyDeleteI definitely think that he should be forced to step down from his throne! It's awful that he is killing people just for protesting. He's also been ruling for 40 years. For sure people aren't going to like if he gets to rule for 15 years! He expects people to want him to rule for 55 years and he's killing them! That is completely ridiculous!

ReplyDeleteDuh, he totally needs do step down! There are so many reasons, that it would take me a week to list them! First of all he is killing his own citizens. Also he is completely terrible, cruel, and needs to check out our bill of rights, because he needs some tips on how to be a leader. What I think I just disgusting I that China and Russia are helping him, I mean I realize that they want to keep their relationship with Syria, but I would rather lose a relationship with a country than help an insane man! Lastly he has been I office too long!

I also agree with Mckaylathat I think those people have lost there minds, that he is killing them, why would they want him for 16 mor years. If he did stay in power I bet you he would kill the rest of the people just becuase they won't him to step down, I also think that he's stuped for thinking that all the people still like him, maybe some still do but most of the puportion hate him. I also agree with Logan because what if Oboma and the solders just kept shooting us just 'cause we protested! If I were in Syria I would some how try to get rid of him! He's kinda like a fly, they both won't go away, and just get out of our life! If I could do something I would make him step down, also to have a good democerse like ours in other places, like Syria! And I still agree with Mckayla, he would be ruling for 55 years now if they kept that stupid man!!

ReplyDeleteAll presidents sell their throne sometime, but not this guy. This guy is insane! He thinks he is all smart,rich, and powerful. But he is actually destroying his country without even thinking about what to do! It would have been easier if he had just given someone else a turn to be president. But he is just causing himself to be disliked by sacrificing people that are just protesting, telling other people to kill one another,and never giving his power to other people who want to be president. I hope someday this crazy guy learns that keeping hold of power for 40 years is wrong! Nobody likes him because of his stupid actions. Stop it president of Syria! NOW! :-(

ReplyDeleteI think he should step down because he has been in charge for 40 years, in America the longest is 8 years. In the "new constitution" it says that he is in charged for 16 more years. He in charged for 56 years. That is way too long for a leader, and they are okay with it! He is killing his own people and they are okay with him in charged for 56 years!!

I hate the other contries because they are saying that he shouldnt step down well those contries should just cange their minds about this leader. He is also making more problems to he own contry. He does cruel and unreasonable punsishments to inocent people. I have many reasons why he should step down but I cant say them all because then that would be like 50 pages long! He is so cruel to all the ihnnocent people in Syria. Al-assad is so mean. I would never stand to be anyone in Syria. I'm sure this lead to suicide for many people. People, 40 years is a long time for such a cruel person like him! I feel sooooooo bad for the people in Syria because of such his cruelty. :( 56 years would be soo long. These people dont even care what he is doing to them. The other countrys that are actually wanting him to not step down are crazy. I am so mad at them right now. They are kind of like being cruel like he is because its keeping this al-assad dude in for action, MEAN ACTION!!!! He is just fuilthy rich and spoiled.
