DeleteDid you guys get it to work? Lol Claire you are so funny I need help too!
DeleteMy computer will not load the game either! :)
ReplyDeleteI learned that you have to try not to use all your money up because i was scarce on that. I had to bartered all the time to get what i needed to fix the wagon or to get another ox. One of the services was the fort where you could rest and buy things you needed like food and cloths. This taught me about making choices back in the 1800's because i had to make choices when i bought my food, cloths, ox, etc. At the very beginning. I also had to make choices in the middle because i needed some things like food but i was also low on cloths. That is what i learned from the game i play.
ReplyDeleteHey! If you type in the other game in the google search... it works! I just played the game myself! Claire
ReplyDeleteI learned that you will always run out of things and need them again. That is called scarcity. I bartered a bunch of times! Once in the game, I had no choice but to start over because of scarce. In general, they couldn't just go to the store because it was the 1800's. They can barter with people, they could hunt for meat, and they have to be careful in decisions.
ReplyDeleteI learned that you have very little money to spendand you have to make wise choises. Also it takes lots of things to bartered for something small with another perso! So that is also why we have money now, to make better use of our things!
ReplyDeleteI learned lots from this game. I knew that you have to use little of your supplies so you don't run out.
ReplyDeleteI found the game!! Okay I found out that I am a bad mom and wife!! The food was scarcity. All my family died, That means that I did not do a good job as a mom or wife. There was no food for the family. I did not know what to do about sickness. Water was also scarcity because the Ox was alway needing water. When I tried to hunt the deer was too fast!! I could not live in this time frame!! I am such a bad mother and wife!
ReplyDeletei really like this game. I finally got the hang of this hunting thing. i even made it all the way through the first time! i found out that you need most of food and bullets. also if some one gets hurt hit rest on options
ReplyDeletethe game will not work either
ReplyDeletethe game will not work it is just leeding me to a blank page!!!
ReplyDeleteme to!!!!
Deletethis is driving me crazy. MRS. WHITLEY HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIn mine, it was scarcity for the food. i was bad at it because it was freezing and i had very little supplies and food. i had a lot of money.
ReplyDeletehow do you get this game to work!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletei got it to work we wrote down the site then googled it and it worked. There was lots of time when it was scarce like my oxen did not have enouf grass to eat. Also my money was very scarce. I did noy know how much to spend on food. one of my oxen died because of how much grass was there witch was very little. Also i am having trouble fixing things thay break. THIS IS SO ANOYING ME ALOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI learned that there is many things you want, but you have to make appropriate choices because if you just randomly bartered something, you would not be able to get anything else you wanted. An example of a item that is scarce is the water for your ox, and because I wasn't careful with my bartering, two of my people died :(
ReplyDeletei finally got the game to work.i learned that it was very hard for the pioneers alot of them got sick and died just like my son jak who died along the way. the way they had to fight to survive is insane.
ReplyDeleteI filly got the game to work by looking up on google! Now my strugels with the trail was the lack of money! Also the lack of food! and wagen wells oh thow all of my peeps stade alive. I leraned that to sreive the orgain tril it just was not a walk in the park!
ReplyDeleteI learned a lot from this game. First, I learned that there was no medicine back then. When members of my family got sick, there was nothing I could do. I also learned that shelters were very scarce back then when you were traveling. I would think this would make it really unsafe. I would not want to be traveling with no shelters near by. I learned this because there were not a lot of shelters that I came across. This is what I learned from this game!
ReplyDeleteI learned that it was hard for travalers to move west.I could not help my family because I had no money.
ReplyDeleteI really liked the Oregon Trail game! It's really fun and really educational. My only complaint is that in the hunting part of the game, the deer move way to fast. I can't even aim!
ReplyDeleteI really like this game! At first i was about to through my laptop across the room, because it was being mean!! Then it was working, and those dear are hard to shot. But my problem was not the money cause I was a banker, it was the ox. I learned that people back then were living in a bad time!
ReplyDeletei died in 50 344 miles all of my members dyed from th lack of food. when i died my pearson resined to conabolism. it was hard because there was no medicine. all of my people got dlaria at last 5 times each. i was also hard because in the winter there was no grass for my ox to eat. all my ox died and i had to buy 4 more... they were 200 each!! Lucky i was a banker amd bouht the mimimum on evrey thing exept food and bullets i never traded i hunted or bought at the forts along the way. Also it was hard because the food got more xepensive as we moved along becuse food was rare. i sunk my float 1 time and lost 1 family memeber and almost all of my food. i encountered ba water wich gave evrey one a fever. my last reason it was hard because towards my end tradin was unfair i had to trade for food but only had 2 ox. then fially right next to a rain bow my pearson genral grant lost to the wiked and divine canoblisim race!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was a farmer and I started out with lots of money! I could hit the deer because my highest amount of pounds was 345 pounds from thr deer. This game was really fun. However, it`s really hard keeping track of your family and oxens. I had two ox, and one of mine died! :( Now I know how hard it is to walk on the Oregon trail! It`s really hard to keep track of all of these things.
ReplyDeleteI learnd that you should have some iteams to trade when you need something. I had a hard time trying to get one of my weels fix and i was trying to trade but i couldnt. Alomost ever time something gose wrong. I know that this game has so much troble but either then that it is really fun so far. Lots of things that I have keep on breaking. somethimes for me when you are trading i have to trade for things I really need but the other thing that the other people want are taking it and
ReplyDeleteI need it but I need the other thing more. I also tried to hunt wasnt really easy. My family is always driving me NUTS. I have to do a lot of work for my family. One of my kids their is something wrong with her. Some of the time their is a lot of storms.Somethime when i want to trade I cant because the offer is too big. Worst of all died after a good thing had after. but the good thing is I had always a good health and I had 3 kids. hey claire i named on after you and I really like her. I really love this game I am going to paly it again tomorrow nigh.
I learned about the scarcity of the oregon trail. I learned that they had low food. They had low cloths. Lots didnt make it. They had low cash. Thats why i lost.
ReplyDeleteI learned how little food, clothing, oxen, etc, that they had. I kept running out of food, and cloths, so I just stopped buying them cloths. I kept having to hunt, and hunt over and over. Then both of my ox died, and I only $121 left. So I couldn't buy any more. So I epically failed, but I did last a long time. Also at all of the shops the prices kept going up so I could hardly buy anything. So I bet they had a very hard time even surviving on the Oregon Trail
ReplyDeleteI learned a ton about scarcity. First, the traders would only trade things that I didn't have and I had to take some risks. I learned that to travel the Oregon Trail, you just kind of had to go with it and be lucky to survive. You had to do it by your needs that you really really need. I had to go without clothes to be able to have food!
